About - ASIST®
ASIST® started operations in January 1997. Initially, we provided aviation security regulatory training for airlines and regulated agents. During 1998, ASIST® became recognised as a Registered Training Organisation under the standards of the Australian National Training Authority. In 1999, we established a Consultative Group with Brisbane, Coolangatta and Sunshine Coast airports to develop an aviation security regulations course.
By the end of 1999, ASIST® was recognised by members of the industry as the Australian commercial authority on Regulated Agent training obligations. In January 2000, after considerable research and development, we released the Regulated Agent CD Training Package which was quickly established as the future training tool for Regulated Agents. There is now no other company in the World, that can match ASIST®'s expertise in relation to the Regulated Air Cargo Agent security requirements and the Aviation Transport Security Act and Regulations introduced on 10 March 2005.
On 18 December 2007, ASIST® was accredited as a RACA Training Organisation under the new RACA Security Training Framework and obtained the first accreditation certificate ever issued - 200701.
