Personal information collected by ASIST® is treated as confidential and is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. All ASIST® employees and contractors given access to our data records are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Personal Information

Personal information is information relating to ASIST®’s clients, including companies, company representatives and training participants, whose identities are apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information provided.  ASIST® will only use personal information for the purpose for which it was provided.


Emails
When you email ASIST®, we will store your email so that we can identify you by your name and contact you via email, or whatever other means are possible from the information you provide in the email.
Ordering Products

When you order training products, ASIST® will record your full name, your company name and contact details (including a company contact, your email address, company street address, work telephone number, work fax number and mobile telephone number) and will record the information in a client file, our training database, and our financial accounting program (we do not require private contact details).  If you pay with a credit card, the credit card details are recorded.  ASIST® uses your information to provide you with the most reliable and efficient product delivery services, including invoicing, marketing, and product information.

Consulting

When you engage ASIST® to provide consulting, especially security risk assessments or security compliance audits, ASIST® will likely be made aware of sensitive corporate, financial or security information.  ASIST® only uses the information for the purpose for which it is provided.


Software Licences

When you register ASIST® software and apply for software licensing, ASIST® retains the application form as a record of your full name, your company name and contact details (including your training mentor, your email address, company street and postal addresses, work telephone number, work fax number and mobile telephone number) and your agreement to the software licence, and will record the information in our client files.


Training Records

When you submit training reports, ASIST® will retain the training report which includesyour full name, your company name and contact details (including your training mentor, your email address, company street and postal addresses, work telephone number, work fax number and mobile telephone number) training and competency dates and your training results. ASIST® records the training results in our training database and files the training report in our client files. Although ASIST® has decided to relinquish our RTO status under the Australian Quality Training Framework, we remain committed to retaining training records for 30 years. Now that the RACA Security Training Framework has been developed, ASIST® believes it is no longer necessary to be an RTO to ensure the quality of RACA security training.


Information Security

ASIST® provides a secure environment and a reliable record system which is designed to prevent public access to our records.  You should be aware that there are inherent risks associated with the transmission of information via the Internet and we cannot guarantee the security of information passed over the internet.


Information Disclosure

Your personal information will not be released by ASIST® without your permission unless the release is required by law or the release is part of the service for which you engaged ASIST®.  As a RACA Training Organisation, we are obliged to provide the RACA Quality Assurance Service (QAS) with your full name, your work postcode, your training dates and training results.  The QAS requires the information to determine your eligibility for a training accreditation number and to provide statistical data for the Office of Transport Security (OTS).  QAS may also provide your full name, your work postcode, your training date, training results and training accreditation number to the OTS when directed by the OTS.
