RACA Security Audits
RACA Audit Obligations
Aviation Security Regulation 2.53 requires RACA TSP to set out quality control procedures for a schedule of audits and the procedures for carrying out an audit, including a process for selecting auditors. The Office of Transport Security guidance material required an independent audit every two years. ASIST® can audit your internal security procedures to ensure you are meeting your minimum obligations.
ASIST® Experience
ASIST® is the most experienced commercial auditor of RACA security compliance in Australia. ASIST® started with Chris Smith’s seven years experience as an Aviation Security Inspector (auditing airports, airlines and Regulated Agents) supported by qualifications as an Internal and Lead Auditor in Quality Management Systems. ASIST® has been providing compliance audits for RACA (previously Regulated Agents) since 1998.
Audits and Reports
ASIST® can provide you with a comprehensive report of your compliance supported by practical recommendations for improvement. We normally take one half day to audit a small site, a full day to audit large sites and another full day (spread over ten working days) to write the audit report.
OTS Audits
ASIST® has more experience and a better understanding of RACA security compliance than most Office of Transport Security (OTS) Inspectors. Most Inspectors have only been involved with airfreight for a few years while Chris Smith has been passionately involved with airfreight and regulated agents since 1996. Chris Smith is available to represent you at OTS audits:
- as a specialist adviser,
- to ensure your regulatory obligations are not increased unnecessarily; and
- to protect your operational and financial flexibility.
Fees
Our fees are $200 per hour or $1200 per day + GST + expenses. As you can see, ASIST® is not expensive when you consider that we are working on your behalf to protect your business.
