RACA Security Training - Obligations

RACA or Regulated Air Cargo Agents must ensure employees, who have duties and responsibilities specified in their Transport Security Program, are provided with the training and qualifications to satisfy those requirements. RACA security training and assessment must be provided under the RACA Security Training Framework.

ASIST® is an aviation security training specialist who is registered as a RACA Training Organisation (RACATO) to provide RACA security training and assessment under the RACA Security Training Framework.

The RACA Security Training Framework includes four competencies;

  1. RACA 1 - Follow air cargo security awareness procedures (this is the airfreight awareness competency);

  2. RACA 2 - Examine international air cargo in preparation for receiving clearance by CTO or Airline Operator (this is the international airfreight competency which covers regular customers and signing security declarations);

  3. RACA 3 - Examine domestic air cargo in preparation for receiving clearance by CTO or Airline Operator (this only covers domestic airfreight); and

  4. TLIO207D - Follow security procedures (this only covers transport and logistics industry awareness).

Training Accreditation Levels
